Greetings from San Francisco!
This marks my first business trip! I was sent down here at the very last minute to observe window testing for one of our old projects down here. Not very exciting work but it's worth getting to come down to SF for the week :DI arrived late Monday night and was super tired but today after I got off work, I went walking around. I first walked around the Japan Center, which is where my hotel is located in. Lots of neat little Japanese stores. My hotel is also Japanese style. I've never had a hotel room all to myself before. It's nice!
After stopping by my hotel room, I took the bus to the Embarcadero Center and walked around the shops for a bit. Very high end stores but if you're into the styles, then definitely worth checking out. When all the stores closed, I went strolling along the waterfront. It was really beautiful, with the sun setting in the backdrop and looking out onto the water. It's kinda cold down here but apparently, it's always like this in the summer, cool and foggy. I'm glad there wasn't any fog today. I walked for quite a bit, from Market Street all the way to Fisherman's Wharf. I don't know if it's really that far but my feet are killing me. I also walked around the Pier Market and had dinner there.
It's different to be travelling by myself and eating by myself. At the restaurant tonight, I sat at the bar and talked with the bar tender. I've been anticipating my first business trip for a while now. I love to travel, especially when it's all paid for by my company! But I guess it can get a little lonely... but at the same time, it's good to have some down time. At least I get to see my aunt and uncle tomorrow night, along w/ all the little cousins! : )
So far, I like SF. It's filled w/ Chinese people! Definitely my kinda town! =P A little shady in some parts... if this was Toronto, I would be use to it... but it's a little scary when the surrounding is unfamiliar and there are crazy people shouting at me...
Will be flying back to Seattle on Thursday afternoon. So many things happening this month.
I need to prioritize but how do you prioritize when it's all important?! Friends and family are visiting but roomie is leaving =( and then there's studying... it seems everything is happening all at once... there just isn't enough time... I wish there was more time...

Whoa!!! SF! That's my favorite city in States. Mild weather, beautiful city, ocean, mountains, wine country, and the best of all, stopping by a crab stand at the fisherman's wharf for a crab and a corona. Yummy!!! :P And there's always coffee on the patio on Union St., or the drive up the Twin Peaks. Just don't hang out too much on Castro St. :P Have fun.
