has this ever happened to you?
It's a beautiful day outside. The sun is shinning, the sky is a clear blue, there's a light cool breeze in the air. You think to yourself that it's a perfect day for eating lunch at the park. So you stroll over to a store, get yourself a delicious sandwich (or wrap, or whatever you like to eat at the park) and then skip on over to the park to enjoy the delicious meal you just purchased. You get to the park and you see the grass is just perfect for sitting on. It's green and newly mowed (not freshly mowed because then it would be kinda wet with grass juice but probably mowed within the last few days so that the grass is short and not prickly). You see other people who had the same idea as you. They too are sitting on the grass eating their lunches. There are people playing catch and freesbe in the fields and you just smile : ) You find a spot in the grass, sit down in a comfortable position and prepare to unwrap your lunch.
But then, just as you're about to sink in the first bite, you see it. Just a few feet away from you. On the grass, clearly visible because the grass is short. You stare with disgust. You lose your appetite. You begin to get all paranoid wondering if there's anymore around you. Wondering if you are sitting in any of it yourself. You begin to smell it. That's right. You know what I'm talking about. DOG POO!!! Even if you hadn't sat on any, you begin to think that it's possible there use to be some at the spot where you're sitting at but it was simply picked up or decomposed. Which means there could still be reminants of it!!! And it's also possible there's dog pee around as well!! EWWWWW!!!
That's really gross. It definitely ruined my appetite for today. I moved away from the grass and sat on the bench instead, which was bathe in shade and was kinda cold : ( Stupid dogs and irresponsible dog owners!! Grr... way to ruin my perfect lunch on the perfect grass on the perfect Tuesday afternoon!
I can't help but think there's some kind of parallel lesson to be drawn here on how we treat God's creation and His blessings for us...

Nope, I can't say that's happened to me before... but a few years back I did get pooped on (in a dramatic flutter of wings and disgusting splat on my shoulder) by a pigeon after denying him some of my hot dog... :)
