the new purpose

Tonight, we held our first official women's small group at my apartment. We are going through the Purpose Driven Life book together. Yes, again. This will be my fourth attempt at reading this book. Fourth attempt because I've never finished reading this book. All previous attempts have ended somewhere around Chapter 20. I have always blamed it on busyness but hopefully, this time nothing will get in the way of me finishing. It's not like it's a must-read or that my life depends on finishing it. I know what the end is about. I read the last chapter already :P I know what the 5 purpose Rick Warren proposes are. But I want to finish what I started. Plus I really want to take this chance to get to know these girls that I have met here. There is 5 of us so far and we don't really know each other. We all met within the last 2-3 months. We're all different in our unique ways but also many similarities which brings us together. We're all around the same age. 4 Canadians and 1 American. 2 West coast and 3 East coast. 4 middle child and 1 oldest child. 3 software engineers, 1 insurance agent and 1 consulting engineer. 5 daughters of God.

I'm excited though to see where God is going to lead us. I'm excited to get to know them and be able to support and encourage them. I'm excited to learn from them. I'm excited that I just might finally finish reading this book! I pray God will give us all wisdom and openness to share honestly with one another. I pray we will genuinely be supportive of another and laugh and learn together.
