The past few days have been one big blur... I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of tasks that were accomplished, the many complications that I still have to deal with and the reality of it all. In the span of 2 days, I moved into my apartment, purchased numerous funitures including a bed, a futon, a dining table, chairs, drawers and other household items, filled my kitchen cabinets with food and utensils AND bought a car!! oh and I put in an order for a laptop today.
I am tired... no exhaughsted. My first day of work was filled with meet and greets, paper work and reading, reading, reading. Not too exciting to say the least but of course expected. Things will pick up but at the moment, I feel like a coop student all over again.
My family left this morning to drive back to Toronto. It was sad. I cried. I didn't think I would but I did. Even thinking about it now brings tears to my eyes. I can't do this. I don't know how to. I know there's lots of help available. I don't know how to ask. People say that I'm strong, I'm independent, I'm very capable of taking care of myself. They're wrong. I'm very weak. My entire existence, well-being and happiness is dependent on God. And I cannot take care of myself very well. (won't someone please move to Seattle and cook for me?! :P)
I know it takes time. It's only been a few days. I know. God is always by my side. He has brought me this far and he will continue to carry me through the rest. I know. He has given me all the gifts and talents to do this. Whatever I lack, he will develop in me and keep changing me until I'm perfect. I know. I will adjust and move on. I know God has a purpose for me here. I know!!
I know all these things but it still doesn't take away the feelings. Sigh. Give me time. I'll probably post in a few weeks about how great things are, especially once I get my car! Stay tuned for that.
