I'll be home for Christmas!... and New Years!
It's done and done! Plane ticket has been booked and bought! I'll be home from Dec 23 - Jan 1! YAY! I can't wait to see everyone! I'm excited! Especially since my mom told me she replaced me with a puppy... I'd like to see what the new little rascal is like ;)
So far life in Seattle is good. Although I've been spending way too much time going up to Vancouver... The only last piece of business left is my drive test. I haven't been complaining enough about this. It's totally dumb and ridiculous how I HAVE to get a Washington license and how I MUST do the written and drive test again. Do they really believe that Canadians drive differently!?
Work started out very slow...with me "awaiting assignment" almost every other day. But ever since I sorta complained and joked to my manager how I never have work to do, I've been dumped every new assignment that comes to my team AND the other team. And now, I've got way too much work to do. I guess I asked for it. Exciting thing is that I'll be doing a lot more site visits which is what I wanted. Although it's kinda intimadating when I walk onto site and I'm surrounded by big white guys who barely give me a second look. How am I suppose to tell these guys what to do when they can't even see me!?
As for life outside of work, it's been nice. I find it very relaxing to come home after work and do absolutely nothing! :) I've met a whole bunch of Waterloo graduates, who are all in software and working for either Microsoft, Expedia or Amazon. It's so weird how many 'loo people are here in Seattle... weird to the point of being scary. When I said I was in architecture, one guy asked me, "Oh you're a software architect?"
So that's the latest on me. I'm enjoying it here in Seattle and feel totally blessed that God has been watching over me and providing for my every need. But of course, I'm missing all of you back home (and those who are in other parts of the world) so email me sometime and let me know what you're up to and if you have any prayer requests!
