what's next?
So I've been in Seattle for 2 and a half months now. Do I miss home? uh.. honestly? No. I miss all my friends and family and the awesome convenience of living in T-dot but somehow it feels like I'm just at another summer job or school term and I'll be home in four months. Which in a way is very true since I will be going home soon.
A few weeks ago, I had my Professional Development Review where I was asked to come up with some goals for the next 6 months - personal goals and career goals. I had some trouble with the career goal part. I really don't know where I want to be headed. Do I really want to be a licensed architect? If I do, then I gotta get my butt to grad school and get my masters. Do I really want to go thru another 4 years of architorture? If I go to grad school, it either means winning the lottery so I can apply to a States school or go back up to Canada where it's like dirt cheap compared to what the States will charge me. If I go to a Canadian school, it's either UBC, UofC or UofT cuz those are the only cities I'm willing to live in. And if I decide to go back to school, it will have to be soon cuz I don't wanna wait too long. Of course, it's going to be super hard to get into archi grad school... And if by the grace of God, I get in, it means moving again... and if that's the case, then why did God bring me here to Seattle? What's he trying to teach me? How is he changing me thru my days here in the west?If I don't want to go back to school, then what do I wanna do? What's next? I definitely don't think I'm going to be staying with this company forever or even staying here in Seattle forever... I feel this is just a stepping stone but stepping stone to where?
