I hate being sick

It was the battle of the century, the two armies -- the deadly germs vs. the mighty T4 cells -- duked it out daily to see who will conquer my body. Every morning, the germs would surge through my body, draining it of energy and forcing out sneezes but by noon-time, as the body began its daily work and stress, the adrenaline of deadlines rejuvenated the T4 cells and gave it new energy to back the enemy into a corner, refusing to surrender. This went on for a month.

When the month was over, the mighty T4 cells raised up their glasses in cheer of another victory over the deadly virus. Little did they know that in the midst of their celebrations, a trojan horse had snuck in. One night, when all was still, as the warriors were resting from their fight and my body was quietly sleeping, the deadly virus crept out of its hiding place and made their secret attack. The T4 cells, caught off guard, with no more energy nor deadlines to provide addrenaline, had no way of fighting back. My body was doomed to fall into the hands of the enemy and this time, the germs had released its full force of sneezes, runny and stuffy nose, coughs, sore thoats, sinus pains and drained the body totally of energy, amongst other really grossed symptoms which I will spare all readers.

The T4 cells called for back up but it was too late. No amount of vitamin Cs, drugs nor rest could defeat the cold. Only time will heal all wounds.

Grrr... You've won this time germs [fist shaking in the air] but we'll be armed and ready for your return!! By then, we will (or should) have Echinacea on our side!!!

All fun aside, I truly give the glory back to God for giving me full strength and health this past month to finish my thesis. There was not a single day where I did not pray to my heavenly Father, asking Him to give me His strength to keep going, for there is no way I could have done this on my own. And now that the thesis is done, God has enabled me to get sick so that I can have lots of rest and recover from this past month's stress. Wow, God is awesome!

Thanks everyone for your prayers all this time that I was writing my thesis. I know I shut a lot of you guys out and wasn't as present as I should have been, thanks for understanding!
