the long waited return

so wow, it's been more than 2 months since I last blogged. I only intended to take a 2 week break. It was school that ended up consuming me. School was CRAZY! I can't believe how much work I had. But I think it was the commuting that took the most out of me.

Well, once again, I've given my blog a new look. Same colour of course. Blue is my trademark, gotta stick with that. I don't know what to do with this blog anymore... I don't have much to say or write... I'm so drained from writing all those papers and reports for school...I'm almost starting to hate writing... but this is a different type of writing so let see.... what can i write...

well, when I was driving home tonight I was stuck in a huge traffic jam. The elementary school right behind my house was having its parent-teacher night. Cars were parked on both side of the streets for miles so that only two small cars could pass through at the same time. However, since these are all cars of parents, there are no small cars. Everyone drives a big van or suv, including me. Cars had to slowly inch their way past, with only a centimeter between cars as they passed each other. It was horrible. We were stuck there for so long and the worst thing was that I was literally only 2 minutes away from my house. As the lady in the car going the opposite way passed me, she shouted over to me, "you might as well turn around, it's almost impossible to get through, you're going to be stuck here for a while!" I said to her, "but my house is up there, there's no other way!" She wished me luck and drove off. I waited it out. What else could I do? I sat in my car, rocked out to Switchfoot and slowly inched my way home.

This made me think of our spiritual journey. So many times, our path seems blocked, it just keeps getting harder and longer to get home. People come along and tells us that we should just give up or try a different path. But there is no other path! There is only one way home, one way to heaven, "For I (Jesus) am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me." Yes it might be a difficult walk sometimes and you literally have to squeeze your way through but God never promised it would be an easy street (ah, the beautiful letdown). He did promise that he'll walk with us and give us strength to keep going. I know home is just up ahead so there's no way I'm turning around! I'll just slowly make my way through and do some good rockin' while I'm at it.

I can't wait! Switchfoot on Dec. 8!!!
